How and why do eye colours change?

When I was born they where blue. Apparently everyones eyes are blue when they are born because the pigmants change. But when it changes its spose to stay that way isnt it?

I'm 16 now and my eyes are still changing. They went from blue to green to olive to grey and they are green again now with a very dark blue around the outside. When will they stop changing?

yes the eyes do change color all the time,and they stop its development at the age of 16 yrs old

Your eyes are colored by Melatonin (just like your skin), so if there is a melatonin buildup it could possible change your eye color.

BTW Blue eyes are a lack of melatonin. just a fun fact
