  1. Animals are able to sense tremors that we cannot feel, allowing them to have an early warning system before the actual earthquake strikes. Animals in the wild would most probably found a safe area to stay, as far away from the earthquake zone as possible.Many pets were killed by the collapsing buildings. Plant on the other hand cannot move, so the plants in the earthquake zones must have been destroyed bu the collapsing buildings.

    The main problem with the earthquake in 1985 was that is was very strong, and the rocks and sediments where Mexico city was built were not very stable and during the earthquake a process of liquefaction occur ed. This process is when the ground becomes almost like quicksand. That is why there was great damage, and this is why many plants and animals were killed and destroyed.
