How are 13 and 14 year olds able to have s*x now-a-days?

I'm 17 and my mother is almost always at home so I would never be able to sneak out and do anything. Infact she would probaly call me 2 or 3 times when I'm outside asking me "When are you gonna be home?!" Thing is where is the balance? I'm a responsible 17 yr old and I would never do that anyways but my mother is so overprotective its not funny. I can't wait to get out of this household I already know Im going to stay with my father and my father even agrees that my mother is nuts.

But meanwhile on the other side just today I hear about 13 yr olds getting drunk, having s*x. What is the solution to this problem that's wide-spread?

well... i am pregnate @ the age of 15 but people say its not that youg i had s*x @ a camp over spring breake and so excited 2 recive this baby! and truse me there is was 2 get out of the house!   ther is wayss..................!!!  :) :P

Sounds like your mom is actually being a parent. Unlike these S****y kids that don't have any parents around. You should be lucky that your mother cares for you so much. I know you're only 17 so you wont understand for another 5-10 years. Then you'll know that someone actually cared for you and wanted to keep you safe.

I don't know how it happens but I think we need parents that aren't afriad to lay down the law with their kids. There is so much red tape in parenting now. You aren't allowed to hit your kid at all in the UK. So how are you ment to tell you child it can't hit someone for no reason? Ground it? Take away it's pocket money? Like that's gonna happen in real life.

Just because your mom is home all the time doesnt mean others' parents are home all the time. Some parents work full time, and dont get off work for a couple hours after school gets out. Not to mention they could also do things like skip school. Even sneak out of the house.

Theres def. many ways whether or not you have strict/protective parents or not.

a lot of kids can get away with things like this because parents spend a lot of time out of the house now .

working to get more money to give their kids the life they never had .

well in a way they are . i know they didnt live like kids do today .

its easier to go and do what you want .

and about your mom ... thats suckish .

and you have probably heard [ at least she cares . ] about one hundred times .

and she may over do it a little . [ or a lot . i dont know . ]

and thats not always good .

kids that see whats going on outside that are kept inside often rebel against their parents as soon as that leave the house .

not good .

the best solution for this is to make sure that you tell your mom all the mom she asks .

then she knows that you care enough to tell her and you dont have to worry about fifty calls .

its the kids

i mean my school went all out, they got us fatal vision goggles and we've been aving s*x ed since 4th grade and health classes since kindergarten.!

and still most of my friends have tried drinking

at least half of the now eighth graders either smoke or drink on a regular basis

my boyfriend wants s*x, but knows he's not getting it.

i want to get drunk but not to the point where i black out and give it up to him and not even remeber it.

but, even though we can be stupid teenagers, we are still smart enough to know not to just have random s*x and drink so much that we black out and smoke like crazy and all that stuff

Well I'm 15 an and my mom works a lot and my step dad is never at home. I guess it just depends on how social you are and much you stay at home by yourself!

I often wonder about the age of sexually active kids, too.  I didn't even get my period until I was 13 and I didn't have any interest in s*x until I was well into my teens.  How is it that so many 13 and 14 year old are having s*x?  I can' t imagine they enjoy it.  So is it just what you do to be cool now?  Like the kids who used to smoke in the bathrooms at school when I was that age?  The don't seem to realize how disturbing the idea of 13 year olds getting it on is to the average adult.  Not s**y, not cool-- just creepy, weird and wrong.

I think it does have to do with the parents not showing enough attention or approval to their kids.  This is really volatile age and if they're not getting the support they need at home, they're going to look for it elsewhere.  And most kids don't see the difference between s*x and love.  The more involved the parent (and I don't mean creepy overprotective, I just mean supportive), kids won't seek approval and attention by getting drunk, doing drugs or having s*x.

I find your responsibility and self-respect very refreshing.  Keep it up!

giving up tips on calming down these da*m hormones, stop showing us so much of s*x on t.v., give us something to do that is fun!, and give us tips and advise on peer pressure

P.S. I know this sounds very mean and like I am a little B. But I am 14, it's not easily being a teen, and the bf will leave you if you don't have s*x (NO ONE and I mean no one wants to be alone in this cruel world!!!!).

Trust me, teenagers will do anything to escape the house.. They'll take advantage of their parents not being at home etc..

It's ridiculous.. And some parents even allow that to happen or they aren't around that often!

I don't drink or do any malicious stuff... if i did, then i truly would have a big death wish.. My mother don't stand for that.. I was raised to have responsibility and make my own wise choices.. I am not allowed to do the things she wouldn't expect me to do.. And i guess that's what's lacking in most teens today - a proper upbringing by a responsible parent.

To answer your question on how younger kids are able to do these things without parents knowing. What they will say is like "I'm going over to *friend that parents are fine with*'s house. *other friends the parents are fine with* will be their too" and the parents will be fine with that. The house that the kid is going over to will say to to their parents would be like "hey blahblahandblah are coming over. is that okay while you are gone?" and since it will be friends that the parents approve of and are fine with they'll also be fine with it. But then the kids will invite other people that the parents don't know about. and well yah that's just one way that younger kids are doing it.

i swear im the only 13 year old at my school who hasnt tried s*x,drugs, achlohol, smoking im more concerned about making friends and getting good grades and planning a good future!

Well, most parents are not strict parents, they let there kids do whatever they want. Not my mom! I'll get in serious trouble with my mom if I got pregnant or drunk. The solution is better parenting.
