I know that if you get an A in an ap class it counts as a 5 towards your gpa instead of a 4 but does that count for B's and C's too? or do B's and C's still equal the same

  1. Most schools will add one extra grade point to an honors or AP course.  In this case, a B would get 4.0 and a C would get a 3.0; however, it depends upon the school.  Some schools will not give weighted grade points for D's and F's, for example, a few may not do so for C's.  Some schools don't give weighted grade points at all, although this is becoming less common.

    Your guidance counselor will be able to explain your school's specific policies on weighted grade point calculations.

  2. B's and C's still equal the same, at least that was at my time when I took my AP biology course in High school!

  3. All honors and advanced placement classes have weighted grades.

    For example:

    A = 5

    B = 4

    C = 3

    D = 2

    Each letter grade is one point higher than the normal letter grade.
