How are Arsenal going to cope without http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-Song-c4804?
Arsenal were given two major blows recently, when two of the teams ace midfielders picked up semi-serious injuries. Both Alex Song and Samir Nasri have currently been declared unfit to participate in any immediate matches for the Gunners due to knocks that
they picked up, which could have easily been avoided with a little catuion.
Samir Nasri tweaked a hamstring muscle in the team’s FA Cup match against Huddersfield, while Alex Song picked up a knock in Arsenal’s Premier League match against Everton. Nasri’s injury was one that could have been easily avoided had the player not participated
in the game, but Wenger decided to take a gamble on the player since Tomas Rosicky was suffering from a virus and was too weak to participate in the game. Song’s injury was on the other hand was sustained due to the fact that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Laurent-Koscielny-c21742 kicked the player's
thigh in a mix up on the pitch, involving a clearance and as a result Song was taken off the pitch, for the second half.
These two injuries, have left most of Arsenal’s fans and quite possibly even Arsene Wenger scratching his head wondering how the team is going to cope in the duo’s absence. This is because is quite simple terms, Song and Nasri have been the Gunners most
influential players this season and were supposed to be the key figures for the team in hopes for Arsenal securing a trophy at the end of the season.
Wenger was initially resorting to a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Song playing alongside http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jack-Wilshere-c17463, while Nasri used to play on the left side of the three attacking midfielders. Now Wenger is going to be caught in a dilemma as to if he should switch his formation
around or introduce different players into the existing formation.
The manager can go back to following the 4-3-3 and as a result, the midfield would have Jack Wilshere, Cesc Fabregas and Tomas Rosicky in the middle of the park, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Theo-Walcott-c34873 upfront.
However, if he decides to stick to the 4-2-3-1 then the manager might have to get http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Abou-Diaby-c3453 into the starting eleven once again and partner him up with Wilshere as the holding players, while Fabregas, Arshavin/Rosicky and Walcott would consist of the attacking
midfielders and Van Persie upfront.
Nonetheless, no matter who comes onto the pitch, Arsenal are going to face a major setback in the creativity department. This is because Nasri was at the moment going through one of the best spells in his career and was being hailed as the best player in
the Premier League for his vision, creativity and presence in front of the goal. On the other hand, Song was starting to emerge as more than just a holding midfielder, the player was displaying skills on the pitch that no one in their wildest dreams imagined
that he could ever have and showed a new found vision, which saw him get a crucial assist or two along the way.
Now with the duo presumably out for the next three weeks, Wenger is going to have to ask a number of his players to step up to the plate. Wilshere will have to run the show, in respect to breaking up the opposition’s attacks and Fabregas is going to have
to get back to showing how his passes are still the best in the world. If that does happen, then Arsenal might just be able to cruise through the coming weeks with ease and not suffer any major setbacks.  The team might even be given a major boost in the form
of Arshavin re-picking his form up. The player had been in a sort of a slump lately, but a crucial goal via the Russian against Everton, has lead people to believe that he might finally be back to his best again.
Nevertheless, whatever happens Arsenal are sure to give it their all this coming month and the team will have to prove to the footballing world just what they are capable off, when they take on Barcelona in the Champions League on February 16th.
