I would like to know complete details about any LNG/LPG carrier or a reefer ship's refrigeration system.

I want to write an article for a the refrigeration system of the above mentioned ships. Feel free to mention any downloadable file, pdf or anything worth-mentioning.

  1. LPG turns to liquid at low pressure, no cooling needed.

LNG is cooled at the plant, no refrigeration on ship. Large spherical tanks for minimal heat loss by design, then well insulated. Boiled off NG is burned in power plant of ship.

Probably reefer ships for fruits, meats, etc. Also, military and passenger ships have reefers for food preservation for crew and passengers. Probably mostly ammonia cycle, but you would have to check.
