How are Rottweiler temperaments?

Question

i love the breed!!!

i was wondering how demanding with food/exersize/and their overall temperment.

i know they can be wonderful, how are they usually with other dogs?

i have a cardigan welsh corgi, and it hink a rott would be a good pick.

any tips or things i need to know

(suggestions to other breeds welcome)

active family of 4

cardi corgi (currentally 3 yo)

will be in agility

(bc and australian shepherds too much)

Rottweilers make excellent choices for Obedience and Agility. But they also need to be continuously trained, but overall, they make excellent pets, but for the right people.

Due to the overbreeding of Rotties in the past 10 yrs., it is best to go to reputable breeder or go to a rescue group and get a Rottie. A good quality one would cost atleast $500 and up. Anything under I would be super suspicious about.

They can be good with dogs if raised with them and have been socialized with other dogs. So far, I have never met a dog aggressive Rottie. But I would suggest you get a puppy from a responsible breeder who has been breeding for years and have been competing in shows or works there dogs.

i almost bought a rott in high-school but ... they can be very vicious to young children which i did not buy it cause i had a little nephew just born food they do take up alot excersize they have alot of hip problems and i once watched on show on rottweilers and the person who own it had to pay alot of money for hip surgery so they are beautiful dogs u are correct but take your time to know the best one ( rottweiler) take care and good luck
