  1. Go on the Jeeping tour in Aruba- It was so fun! Then they take you to the best beach I've ever seen.   Don't wear white, it is a little windy and very humid there so I was a dirty mess. Royal Caribbean is the best- get involved in as many things as you can, Especially the night things.  You won't be sorry.  Good food, too!

I've gone on 2 and will be going again in 2009 to Hawaii.

  2. Never been to Aruba, but cruises in general and Royal Carribean in particular are great fun.  Try everything the ship has to offer, there's bound to be something you enjoy.

  3. I have been on 3 RCCL cruises in the the last year.  I love them!! There are so many activities  and so much do at any time!  You will love it.  Aruba is beautiful!  I took a 4 hour island tour and walked the shops.  It's one of my favorite places.  The food on the ships are awesome.  I just got off of one in Oct. and I am itching to go back!

  4. It sounds like you are going on RC's Adventure of the Seas leaving from Puerto Rico and going to Aruba, Caracao, St Thomas and St Maarten.  We did that cruise this past May and it was great.  The Adventure is a beautiful ship with a promenade down its middle that has shops and eating places.  Like some other RC ships it has outdoor pools and hot tubs on the pool deck and a solarium (covered area) with a pool and hot tubs for adults only.  In addition to the rock climbing wall it has an in-line skating track, a full sized basketball/tennis court, a mini-golf course, and an ice skating rink.

In addition to the evening shows there is a fantastic ice show (presented twice) that you should not miss (its free but you have to go get the free tickets).  The food and service was great also.

We had been to Aruba for an extended stay before so we did not do a tour from the ship.  There is not a lot to see in Aruba on a tour.  The one main attraction WAS a natural bridge but it collapsed a few years ago. But Aruba has some great beaches and that is its main attraction.  It is a very arid island and also very windy all of the time, like about 15 to 20 MPH.  The island has casinos and where the ship docks you can walk down the pier right into town.

Caracao is similar to Aruba, windy and good beaches.  When you dock there you will also be right downtown and can walk to shopping.  We took a tour there which included a cave, a museum and a stop at a liquor factory for sampling and buying.

St Thomas is the shoppers paradise in the Caribbean, along with great beaches.  Where the ship docks you will have to take a taxi to town, but there is also many shops right at the pier, kinda like a strip mall.

St Maarten is a short tender ride from the town and there is actually a beach, not the nicest, right in town if you want to get in the water.

In San Juan there are 3 main attractions, the fort, old San Juan, and the rain forest.  You will needs tours or taxis to do these.  What we did was schedule a tour with airport transfers on our return because we had a flight that left after 3:00 PM.  We did the tour and then they dropped us at the airport.

You will enjoy the ship and the cruise; I know we did.

  5. i loved royal carribean! its fun and fancy. better than carnival but not as expensive as princess. aruba should be fun. my grandparents just went there. have fuN!

  6. There ships are a lot of fun. They have so many activities that you can stay busy day and night. The food is also good and ranges from filet mignon to duck to lobster. They also have an excellent variety of itineraries. I think you will enjoy yourself. Aruba has nice beaches, besides that I didn't find the island too interesting.
