How are acetoxy silicone sealant made?

Why do they smell so bad you would faint. do they steam cook this stuff or boil or just mix some bunch of chemicals together.

  1. Silcones are rubber like materials that are polymerized from several chemcials.

    The smell coming from a RTV (Room Temperature Vulcanizing) silicone is from the Acidic acid. (The strong vinegar smell)
