  1. I have so much to say but I won't.

I'll let the more knowledgeable  people in here answer this. I bow to their wisdom and stand in awe of their gloriousness.

  2. Airplanes can transport people or cargo faster than any other method of transportation.

Also, they can travel over any terrain, be it mountain, lake, or Iraq, with relative safety as long as certain precautions are met.

Airplanes are also quite efficient in transporting cargo compared to most land transports because of the nature of traveling through the air.

Also, because of their capability to transport  people or cargo very quickly, they're a major industry in the modern world, producing billions of revenue each year.

Furthermore, aviation opens up new opportunities that would otherwise be impossible.

    These include:

    1. Highly mobile warfare.

    2. Weather Research.

    3. Reconnaissance or media coverage.

    4. Space travel.

    5. Aerial photographs.

    6. Medical airlifts

    and the list goes on.

  3. They are probably the finest mode of long distance travel available, and a technological innovation.

  4. It all depends upon the reason for someone wanting to use one ~ as to the level of 'importance' they put on this.

If you hate their noise, then airplanes are NOT important, unless the impinge on the quality of your life.

If you want to get to / from somewhere fast, or get emergency supplies into somewhere damned fast, then of course, to a starving / dehydrated individual on the ground, yes, you could say that airplanes are of GREAT importance.

    Is this a trick question?

    Sash.

  5. You can get from point A to B faster usually.

  6. It's really difficult to fly without one. Trust me on this one.
