How are banana chips made? are they fried?

Me and my boyfriend cant agree. I say they are fried, he disagrees. Who is right?

  3. They are usually dehydrated not fried. A banana has too much water in it to fry. :)

  7. It depends on where you buy them.  Check the ingredients, they will most likely have a lot of preservatives if they are dehydrated.  

    If the chips are imported, they might be fried.  I love banana chips from India, but they are fried in coconut oil.  But they also don't have tons of preservatives.

  11. They are dried.  They are put into a dehydrator and all the moisture is taken out of them.  When that happens..they then become a "chip".
