How are breeches and jodhpurs different?

  1. Breeches are for adults and they are made to wear the taler boot with ,

    Jodhpurs are baisicly made for kids

    But adults can wear them also They are worn with paddocks boots

    Yrs ago people rode with Both , and even showed with both

    Saddle seat riders wore Jodhpurs

  2. Breeches are made to be worn with tall boots.  They have tapered legs to fit tightly to the legs.  Often, they'll have a velcro closure on the bottom end so you can adjust them to fit more closely, so they'll fit under the boots better.  The usually end a few inches above the ankle.

    Jodphurs are made to be worn with jodphur boots, usually called paddock boots.  They are longer, ending just above the shoe, usually with a cuff, and aren't tightly fitted at the ankle.  They're more informal, and usually used in shows by children.  You can wear them under tall boots as well, but the boots'll be harder to get on, and the jods may wrinkle, which gives an uncomfortable ride.
