I am curious in our growing computer workplace, how computers are used in nursing?

Mostly, in the field of Nursing I believe computers are primarily used just to log in information on patients they are caring for, for getting new information on patients yet to be helped, and info on patients arriving thru EMT en route to the hospital. They also use the computers in the ER and other places to log out medicine(not all hospitals have this yet, but will eventually due to workers stealing drugs)thru an ingenious robot/computer fridge thing. Pretty cool actually.

  3. All charting is done on computers, orders are put in through them, medications are ordered, care plans are typed, admission information needs to be input.. basically 1/2 of nursing is with a computer.  All the information needs to be accessible by all departments of the hospital/facility, and often within the corporation.
