  1. This is an outstanding season in the PNW. Big dumps all year, big depths still on the slopes. It should be good through to the end. Check the website for current conditions.

  2. To find out what the ski conditions are check http://www.weather.com and click on Ski conitions and type in Whistler to find out. Conditions change from day to day.

  3. Isn't it just like green and "parky" then?  I know that I've been to Whistler in the summer and we just hiked around and it was still beautiful, but not a ski paradise.

  4. If you want to do some late skiing in North America & the Rocy Mountains, this is the place to do it.

They have both downhill skiing & terrain parks but the end of the season will depend the weather conditions. This yr., they had a record snowfall & their season will close later than normal. If the temperature stays cold, they will be open even longer.

Because these areas are in Canada & much farther north than almost all other resorts they usually ski all of April & sometimes into May.

The best thing you should do is check their website & they will give you all the statistics you need, including the weather & snow conditions.

  5. When I did a season at Whistler Blackcomb, both mountains kept the pistes open for as long as possible, It starts to get a bit slushy mid april as temperatures get up but we did also have a couple of snow dumps in late april! By end of may theres not much left apart from the parks and the basic slopes to the mid-station. They have a large section about current weather at www.whistlerblackcomb.com - Hope this helps.
