  1. French fries are made locally and regionally, and transported by truck.

  2. There are many variables to consider. Are you talking about straight-cut or crinkle-cut? Steak-cut fries have more mass, therefore have a higher weight to frie ratio. Are the fries salted ? Salt adds more weight. I concluded it would be

more cost effective to cut the fries closest to the end consumer as possible, thereby reducing the need to use

commercial air transport for the French Fried spuds.

Everyone knows what a huge Carbon footprint a super-sized order of fries can leave on the Earth.

  3. Get-a-life... there is no food on airplanes

  4. Very carefully. By airplane. Lots of gas.

Except I'm sure they figured out in those countries that they can cut their own french fries. Can you imagine that?

  5. French fries are usually made from locally grown potatoes.  For example Western fast food companies bought their own farms in Russia to grow their preferred potato varietals for french fries.

Bulk food is almost never transported by airplane except in emergency situations.

  6. Carrier pigeon, which is obviously cheap in terms of gas use.
