In a previous question asked by none other than ME, someone responded saying it could make a toaster go into a bathtub.

Hmmmm.....

How can something that isn't real move something that is? Oh wait, IMPOSSIBLE.

Wacko ghost hunters, next thing you know you'll be up at the north pole looking for Santa's house.

  1. Well I am not going to win skeptic of the year here (nor best answer since it is obvious you have already made up your mind in this issue). Take a grinder and create some iron filings. Spread them on a piece of paper. Take an ordinary magnetic and place it under the paper, it does not even need to touch. What happens? The filings move and align themselves with the magnetic field concentrating at the poles and spreading out thinner along radial lines between the two. Can you see the magnetic field on its own? No, but electromagnetism is a real property of EVERY atom in the physical world. It is colorless, odorless, soundless, and tasteless. Yet, it can produce dramatic effects on the real world.

The fact of this world is most of it is blank space. Even your own body is composed of nothing on the atomic level. There is large spacing between molecules (large in regards to the size of atoms themselves) and they are held together by attraction. When you touch something, it is not so much the collision of atoms you are feeling, but a collision of surrounding fields, the areas of blank space.

Just because you do not believe in something, does not make it unreal. People did not believe the world was round or that it was anything other than the center of the universe. However, the earth continued to spin on its axis, revolve around the sun, and the milkyway revolving though the universe. The fact above all else is we know so little about the universe, heck just our planet, that it is foolish to assume whether anything can or cannot exist. We do not even know all the different species of animals, insects, and plants that are living around us. How can we immediately jump to the conclusion that the after life is impossible?

What we do know historically though is that people have witnessed events that defy current scientific explanation since the invention of written language. Ghosts, spirits, and the afterlife have been recorded in some aspect in every culture, ever country, and every religion. While all these viewpoints do not necessarily equal what you consider by definition a ghost, it does mean we should not be so quick to discard them. Even superstitions and myths have some truth behind them. While I will not be searching the north pole anytime soon for Santa Claus, his legend is based on a real life person and saint, St. Nickolas. It is just a matter of separating the fact and the fiction and find the true nature of the matter.

  2. Oh but santa exists.  Paranormal investigators have proved it. (sarc)

  3. Ghosts can't move things around it is you own kinetic energy that moves things around.

  4. Little Grim deserves Best Answer.

Well, I agree with you that it makes absolutely no sense at all but I personally witnessed something invisible to the human eye manipulate the physical world. You can never or will never understand it until you have personally experienced it for yourself.

  5. Ghosts move objects with a special technique. It's called "pushing". A ghost can push objects from place to place by putting their hand on the object and pushing back with their hind legs.

I have played many computer games and seen lots of movies too, so I am pretty sure about this. Except this one time, the ghost didn't have legs, so all he could do was kind of nudge the object with his head.

  6. what makes you so sure they don't exist? Do you claim to know absolutely everything there is to know in the world? What if I said I could touch one, I could feel it, with my hands? And I know lots of others who can as well. I know people who can see them.

You believe what you wanna believe. I for one know the truth. I feel sorry for people like you who live in such a small world that they feel the need to come here and insult people.

  7. it is important to note that ghosts, in the human spirit sense, do not have much physical power and are onyl able to move small objects.  the conventional wisdom surrounding spirit theory says that approximately 5 lbs is the max they could move.  only inhuman (demonic) spirits have the strength to move heavy objects, such as furniture.  so when this happens, that would be the work of a demon rather than a ghost.

  8. no1 knows what they are capable of doing or if they are even real.

if u tern into a gost ull know

  9. I haven't tried looking for Santa's house but would love to one day.

Let's start with the physics behind ghosts.  When a body dies, the "soul" or energy is left behind.  Energy never dies.  We don't know where it goes or what it does but we know it stays behind.  These would be the feelings some people feel when they think they aren't alone.  It has been recorded by various doctors, nurses and other medical practitioners that when someone dies, there is a definite "something" that leaves the body.

That being said, we believe a ghost can move things if it has enough energy to do it.  They obtain energy from other sources which is why us Wacko ghost hunters complain of our batteries dying when we  know we have just purchased new ones and placed them in our equipment.  The energy is heated because of its' placement from one energy source to the next and the outcome (whatever that is) is produced.  An outcome can be a door slam, footsteps, voices - whatever the ghost has chosen - and is produced and thereby leaving a cold spot.

IMPOSSIBLE?  No.  Does it happen?  Absolutely.

With things like this occurring and being a lot of fun, I think I'll continue to be a Wacko ghost hunter for many more years to come.

  10. Ghosts aren't real your all a bunch of loons.

  11. I don't think ghosts are real either but there are a lot of serious people here who do, it's good to express your ideas but it's usually better to do it in a less provoking way.

That is sometimes difficult for all of us.

Anyway to answer your question, people seem to think that ghosts can get the energy to move things by sucking up energy from electrical appliances or by taking the heat from the air, of course even if they did it still doesn't exactly explain how they move things but since nothing about ghosts is logical anyway it doesn't really matter.

  12. Energy they say a ghost sucks up the energy in the area around them and that helps them to move things. I did not think ghost were real until I had something happen to me that I still could not explain. My logical mind says that could not be but it was what do you do then?

  13. Wow, youre really stuck on this ghost thing tonight, huh?!  ;)

  14. There is no such thing as a ghost, so nothing gets moved.

  15. hahhaha

    you never know

    what ghost or spirits

    are willing to do!
