I know hybrid cras are good to the environment but which parts help to do that. If you knowand good website or online magazine, tell that also.

  1. The three factors in that make a car environmentally friendly are.

1 Wind resistance The vehicle needs to be a good shape to minimise aerodynamic drag. Aerodynamic drag has the greatest effect on the energy required to maintain a given speed.

2 Rolling resistance. The quality of the bearings and things like tyre pressure, design and alignment all affect how much energy is required to push a car along

3 Drive efficiency. How well does the motor and drive system turn energy into motion.

Hybrids do all of these quite well. Most are designed with low wind drag. There have been tyres specially designed for lower rolling resistance developed as part of the hybrid programmes.

The drive system is where the main differences are hybrids use a gasoline electric motor/generator system. This ensures that gasoline motor is always loaded near its maximum efficiency.

The gasoline motor drives either the car directly or the electric motor (as a generator) to charge the batteries or a combination of both.

The electric motor can generate power while slowing the vehicle also. This is called regenerative braking.

Most of the advantages of the hybrid come from utilising the versatility of electricity. Pure battery electric vehicles have the same advantages with one huge minus they need to carry batteries to store the energy for the trip. This limits how far the car can be driven.

Whilst the technology to supply a network of grid pickup electric vehicles exists the infrastructure does not. Neither does the consumer demand. Straight electric vehicles (grid pick up) can be made much lighter and much more efficiently than anything else today. The power for such systems can be generated for clean or normal sources the efficiencies of the system would mean a lot less emissions either way.

    Hope this helps.

  2. hybrid cars are good for the environment because they use less gas because it has a electric motor and a gas motor instead of just having a gas motor since it has a much smaller gas motor it has much lower gas emissions so thats good for the environment as well, hybrids are a all around good idea there starting to come out with better faster and more stylish hybrid car as well

  3. they mostly run on electricity instead of fuel.

  4. Hybrid cars actually aren't that much better for the environment.  Theoretically, they're more efficient so they should use up less gas and produce less CO2.  Realistically, people with hybrids drive more than people with gas-guzzlers, so they wind up using just as much.
