  1. Hydrogen fuel cells are NOT used to power cars, yet, they are too heavy.  Here is a fuel cell manufacturer's site to help you learn more about the technology and the problems yet to be overcome, i.e.:

    HP to weight ratio

Platinum as a catalyst (iron catalysts are under development)

H2 production, distribution and storage (see USDOE webpage)

  2. They are extremely advanced technology, using catalytic surfaces to bind oxygen to hydrogen... the manufacturing of which would be difficult to describe here.

I appreciate that Bush has put a great deal of funding into converting our nation to carbon-free hydrogen energy, generated by geothermal plants.  That, I believe, is our best bet for clean renewable energy.

  3. Grizz, you really have no idea what your talking about. They're already used in some cars. Norway, in my opinion, is the leading advocate in Hydrogen cars. They've made massive advancments in its technology for H2 cars. If anyone wants some real info on Hydrogen cars, feel free to email me. This is nothing. So yea, peace.
