  1. Depends on state law language and insurance companies language of policies. Some insurance companies already cover 'domestic partners'/'civil unions'/'designated unrelated dependents'. Price of policy may vary depending on cost/benefit tables- 'g*y' won't probably be claiming maternity benefits and risky childbirths - but a long time payout for AIDS could have a negative balance. Some insurance policies language doesn't cover 'spouse' unless specific included.


  2. In CA, several of them already do - the whole "domestic partner" stuff is already being applied to same s*x couples . . .so I'm not really sure what you're asking.

  3. If you live in CA then they already handle it as we are one of the states with Domestic Partnership registry and many companies offer benefits to registered Domestic Partners. If you are coming from out of state to get married here starting at 5:01pm today, then it's up to your state's laws I guess. It'll be interesting to see how other states (dis)honor or (not) uphold the marriages. Plus how this impacts November elections.
