How are is it from Ocho Rios Jamaica to Kingston and which airport would you fly into? (Montego Bay or Kingsto

I always fly to Montego Bay but due to a flight change I had to fly to Kingston then fly to Montego Bay but it did'nt take long. From Kingston to Montego Bay by plane is less than 23 minutes or less than 20 minutes.

From a crime/safety perspective, there is nothing wrong with coming in from kingston. In fact, if you want to see for yourself (instead of listening to the idiot with the first answer above), i would strongly recommend comign through Kingston. Get a cab driver to give you a mini tour of the city and then head to Ocho Rios. Doing this on a sunday would be least hectic.

When making a comparison between Mobay and Kingston, the real factors in making your decision are:

1. Traffic in Kingston can be really heavy. The airport is on the OTHER side of the city. If there is traffic, you will have to go through all of that in Kingston before even starting to make your way along rural highways to Ocho Rios. Traffic can add TWO HOURS to your journey on a rainy day.

2. If you are LEAVING jamaica from kingston, traffic will make it very difficult to ensure that you will be at the airport on time.

3. In comparison, the trip from Montego Bay to Ocho Rios is more scenic. You would have no more than about 20-30 minutes of traffic on the worst days trying to head out of town from the airport. The same for trying to get back in.

4. At a reasonable rate of speed, MB to Ochi would be just about a 1h:15m drive. Kingston would be about 1:45 from Ochi. The scenery is also pretty good from kingston, but will show off more interior details of Jamaican life.

Oh wow, daddy porky went to jamaica and wasn't happy with the food?? boo hoo/. Any who, you'd go to the kingston airport, it's closer to your destination point. Ocho rios is 67 miles/108km from Montego bay, and 54 miles/87km from Kingston. Jamaica is a third world country, but people will not just harm you for no reason, have fun, and while your there, check out the Dunn's Falls, daddyporky...nuff said. have fun hun

this is a third world country.. stay away from kingston.. you wont like what you find.. i dont recommend going to jamaica.. but if you are set on it.. mantego bay.. has a section that is only for the tourist.. that is the beach is fenced in with a guard and the hotel is guarded.. that is what is necesary in that county.. and the airport is montego bay... dont try to drive everythig is backwards. and this would be dangerous..
