I've heard bad things about the mezzanine view in general, but is mezz row A slightly on the right side pretty good? How are they compared to back orchestra, and is it worth it to pay an extra $50 for front row mezzanine compared to rear mezzanine row J?

  1. When I was younger (and did a lot of acting)  I used to love the orchestra...but now that I do a lot more directing, I enjoy the mezzanine. like being able to see the entire stage at the angle from above- I feel like I see the full scope of the show that way.

  2. Front Mezzaine is the best. i was reading about Wicked and it said the stage is SOOOOOO high up, and if you get orchestra seats you will like strain your neck. haha front mezz. is always great you can never go wrong :]

  3. The back of the orchestra is great. I've sat almost everywhere in the orchastra in the Gershwin theater (won lotto and sat front row and also have sat in the 2nd to last row of the orchastra and inbetween). My friend who sat in the back of the mezzanine HATED it. She's seen the show before but didn't like the Elphaba just because of where her seats were (I was at the same performance and we have the same taste in actresses and I LOVED her.) It's way better to spend the $50 and enjoy the show than to sit in the back row to save a tiny bit of money. For this show, it really is worth sitting in the orchestra.

  4. Front Mezz is the best, but row A SUCKS. You have a bar right in front of your face. Call and ask for anything other than that. It doesnt  matter if you are far to the right or left you are, you cant really tell. PLEASE call and get seats other than the front row. Mezzanine really helps you take in the whole show.
