  1. I am trying the ideas listed on this article http://www.ehow.com/how_2289456_save-mon... and saving money on food to pay for the gas with the ideas in this article http://www.ehow.com/how_2261173_save-mon...

  2. By driving less and using public transportation more.

  3. It hasn't effected us yet, so we are still saving and living the way we used to.

  4. I started a long time ago,by making every trip count. Such as,when you go somewhere that is in the same area as the other place. Group up every place you need to go ,by the areas they are in & make it all in one trip. And when the weather is good, one can take the bus,or whatever. Go to the cheapest gas station!

  5. Kana..It must be a nice place to be having no concern over rising costs! Some people unfortunately are in a different position, and being smug, and conceited about your ideal life doesn't really help!

  6. There are many ways to cut down on gas prices alone, but that doesn't necessarily mean saving money. Ways you could use less gas would be to:

-Cut down on your battery useage. Don't use your airconditioning, don't listen to the radio, just sit and stare at the road as God intended.

-Don't open your windows, it creates drag.

    -Fill up slowly.

-Avoid rough roads whenever possible, dirt or gravel rob you of up to 30% of your gas mileage.

-Remove excess weight from trunk or inside of car - extra tires, back seats, unnecessary heavy parts. Extra weight reduces mileage, especially when driving up inclines.

-Buy gasoline during coolest time of day - early morning or late evening is best, when gasoline is the most dense. Gas pumps measure volumes of gasoline, not densities of fuel concentration. You are charged according to "volume of measurement".

If you're talking about saving money overall, then that just entails seperating necessities from luxuries.
