How are people with a disability, disadvantaged before the law??

  1. They are not. We even have anti-discrimination laws in this country in order to prevent them from being disadvantaged before the law, and before others subject to the law.


  2. I know they wont give my mom disabelity because they say she is under 500lbs. What can i do.

  3. With the exception of some grandfather clauses in some building codes, they are generally not disadvantaged.  

    However, people with low enough intellect can be judged incompetent and forbidden to live on their own, sign contracts, or be given power of attorney for a relative.
