    But I think pork skins are gross.

  3. I don't think there is a difference. Although they are prepared differently they are the same thing pork skin. I believe that pork skins are boiled then fried as for the cracklings are fried in fat to render out the fat. Any way around it you've got something good to eat. My mother would make crackling or chicharones with fried plantains and raw garlic to make mafungo it was very good. MMMmmmm makes me want some now.
