Is it possible for someone to illegally have 2 social security #'s? NOT asking for myself. trying to track someone i have a default judgment against in georgia. it appears he has changed his 1st name (last name is the next step). and I am sure he will attempt to somehow change his SS# or obtain a 2nd #. Does anyone know someone who has accomplished this? You can remain anonymous I just want to know if it is possible to do this so I can find him easier. Thanks

  1. There are numerous ways that scammers have obtained SSN's under false pretenses in the past. Before the electronic age,  they used to look over the obituaries in the papers, get the information, collect some of the deceased person's mail, change the information & start committing fraud.

Even with all of the identity protection offered in today's society, it's still pretty easy to scam the Social Security Admin & obtain bogus SSN's. It is & will continue to be getting tougher to do as technology catches up.

  2. Yes,

    it's possible..

  3. Here in Phoenix, you can buy them at swap meets.

    On the corner,etc.

Steal a childs SS # like what happened to my grandson, get a checking account and credit.

    Very easy to do.

But, the real ID act will make it harder.
