  1. You can make a solar water heater, with an old flat radiator, painted mat black and placed in a glass frame, perhaps double glassed. With insulation and reflecting foil behind. Then connected appropriately to the water system.


  2. mono/poly crystalline or silicon amorphous, some have thin glass over thin mirror and beneath those layer are cells that hold the mono poly crystalline and silicon amorphous.

  3. Photovoltaic? It requires a large factory with special equipment and chemicals to do this.

    If you mean solar concentrators for hot water heating, then you need lots of copper tubing, glass, aluminum foil...

  4. i am not sure about the chemicals but material is silicon and thats y they r really expensive
