How are the Democrats and Republicans going to deal with the fact that they missed the Texas Deadline?

They didn't.  The revised filings showing the actual nominees hadn't yet been filed given the date of conventions.

They'll find some loophole to get around it.

That would be devastating for McCain....oh well! I say it should stand as is and they don't get put on the ballot. =)

Yeah...no.

It may be true...but no way in heck is texas going to embarass itself  by refusing to put Obama and McCain on the ticket.

One of these men are going to be the next president of the United States...you do not want to p**s him off.

It would be funny though if Obama pushed to make it valid..it would make it look like he was trying to silence  the voices of the Texas people by telling them who they can and cannot vote for and everyone would write in McCain.  Someone get this over to the Obama campaign STAT!

All Texans should insist of their respective party leaders that the law be respected.

At the very least, list Barr as a "viable" or "legal" or, perhaps "proper" candidate in bold print and at the top.

Then, list the remaining wumps in alphabetical order, flanked by Viagra ads.

I live in TX and haven't heard anything about it so i seriously doubt this is true

Yes, it will be interested to see how it is handled, since it says the PARTIES have to certify their candidates, and by that date, neither party had official candidates.  (I think that is correct, that the roll call vote had not occurred at the D convention by COB on 8/27.)

I'm sure something will happen to change this.
