  1. Pretty much just like the SAT, except they're out of 240 instead of 2400. Each section has a score between 20-80 which is called the scaled score (as opposed to the raw score).

    Raw score: Number right - 1/4 of a point for each question you get wrong

  2. You have a critical reading section, a math section, and a writing section--just like SATs but w/o the essay. Everything is graded from a 20-80 per section (after converting your raw score) and the total can be a maximum of 240 instead of  2400 for the SATs. It's basically the same type of questions to prepare you for the real thing, but shorter. Specifically on how they are graded, you take the number of questions you get right and subtract the number you get wrong times 0.25. This is your raw score and ETS makes a conversion chart which translates each raw score to a converted score on a 20-80 scale. People who score high enough their junior year can also get National Merit scholarships.
