This question is mostly aimed at Vets, and Troops' families, since they have more insight into the minds of their loved ones. Best wishes, and love, thanks for answers.

Are they okay, and able to get information about what is happening concerning this time pretty quickly?

  1. My guy is of the opinion that Obama is a waste of time, money and citizenship.  His wife recently said she was finally proud to be an American, was she ashamed before? He refused to wear a pin to honor the victims of 9/11, and of most recent, he refused to shake the hands of soldiers when he went to visit them.

obama is a wolf in sheep's clothing so to speak. his true colors will come out and when they do hopefully he won't be in the White House.

  2. Most of them have internet access so it is certainly easy for them to get their hands on.

However, after being in, you learn that there's a lot of c**p broadcast by the media and you really just have no interest in it for the most part.

  3. My son in law has made a carer out of the air force. He an officer and due for retirement  purposes had planed maybe  going 30 years, But, if Obama, was  elected. He said, that he will go ahead and retire, when this term i was up.. His words were he could not, and would not ever be able to salute that man.  Because, of the flag issues, and his not visiting  the worse of the wounded troops while  in Germany.  He also

said, where he would like to put that basket ball they showed  Obama playing with on T.V. Boy, do I love my son-in-law.

  4. I do not like either of the two major candidates. My idea of a perfect candidate is: Someone who wants make government smaller, take government out of civilians lives, balance the budget (and pay off the debt), bring Capitalism back, and have a more non-interventionist foreign policy. Neither of the current two candidates plan on doing any of this. If you ask me, Obama and McCain are much more alike than people think when it comes to most of the core issues. If I do vote, it's gonna be either for Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party or Bob Barr of the Libertarian Party, but since neither of them stand a chance, I probably won't vote. I'm traditionally a Republican, however, I am not happy with the direction that the party is going towards lately. In my opinion, the last good Republican presidential candidate was Ronald Reagan. Everyone after him has been a joke.

I do not like Barack Obama because his plan is more government, more spending, and more taxing. He is unrealistically optimistic. He promises good things but he fails to explain how he will accomplish them. Don't get me wrong, I like hearing good ideas. But I like hearing more about how they will be accomplished. You can't throw money at every problem and expect for it to be solved. People might say: "Well, Obama wants out of Iraq and since you want a more non-interventionist foreign policy, why don't you vote for him?"...Obama is fake when it comes to his foreign policy. If you're voting for Obama because you think he's going to have a peaceful foreign policy, think again. I wouldn't be surprised if this guy started more wars than G.W. Bush.

I do not like John McCain either, because his policies will also result in more spending and more government. People will ask: "You're a Marine, why not support a fellow serviceman?" That doesn't matter to me. I've always held the belief that politics and military service do not mix. He was in the Navy and I respect that, however, we are voting for a good leader, a good president, not a good soldier. In terms of whether I would vote for him or not, his service to this country doesn't mean a thing. It's not a good thing or a bad thing. I look at a persons politics exclusively and so far, neither McCain's nor Obama's politics match up with mine.

    EDIT:

tanner_1122, if you seriously believe that most military people are going to support McCain because of his military service, then why didn't General Wesley Clark get any votes in 2004? Gen. W. Clark has a higher rank and he probably has more decorations than John McCain, so by your logic, he would win an election. I don't mean to sound uptight, but it is an insult to think that active servicemen and retired servicemen would vote for someone because of their service to this country. If most servicemen/women do decide to vote for McCain, I hope that it's not because of his military service, but because they truly believe that his politics are better than Obama's.

  5. obama passed up the opportunity to visit wounded vets

McCain is a decorated war hero

who do you think Veterans  active and retired are gonna like ??????

  6. They know what's going on they have access to computer and stuff like that. Obama maybe avoiding wounded vet now but if he gets in the oval office he can't avoid it he'll use the same hospitals all those injured men and women use.
