I am an IB (International Baccalaureate) student with fairly high marks. I am planning on a career in music and I am getting my grade ten RCM music diploma soon and then I am going to work on my ARCT examinations. I am a good pianist and I am doing theory examinations too.

What are some music universities in Switzerland? What is their tuition? How do I apply? Chances? I am planning on at least a Master's. Would I be able to find a job there or do I have to move back to Canada? Are there scholarships?

Btw, I know French and English (as you see, LOL).

  1. Vraiment? Moi aussi! Je veux suivre des courses en France mais...c'est pas possible. :(

  2. I suppose these lines go to Québec, right? Bonjour, though :-) To start your online search, have somebody to translate you the website of the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis: http://www.scb-basel.ch/index/112998 (it's in German). From my personal experience I can tell you that this famous school accepts students and teachers from many countries.

Later, you will want to check this site: http://www.musikschule.ch/fr/les-membres... (it's in French). And so on... Good luck, bonne chance!

  3. You must be relatively fluent in French and German, and this really depends on what area of Switzerland you are in.

Just google Switzerland schools of music university, and you should find sites for different schools. These sites can answer all of your questions.

    Best of luck!
