$3.73 here for the cheap stuff...anyone have any idea why the oil and gas companies are playing with us?

I'm inclined to think it's as simple as "Because they can." Your thoughts?

  1. Taco Bell will give me enough gas for the weekend for only $ 2.99

  2. The last tankful was at $3.49, in Houston,TX. Gas is a commodity. If a lot of people want the limited amount, the price goes up. That`s why it`s important to find as much as we can, to bring the price down. Our own government is holding us back to please the environmentelist faction. So, do we go broke to please them?

  3. Surprise, Arizona. Last night I paid 3.59 at Shamrock

  4. About $4 a Gal. in ny. I live about 20 mins away from Manhattan and 2 mins away from Jersey. So I usually wait until i have to go to nj to get gas.

I'm driving a gas hog too so it does not help

  5. i think its around $4 give or take a few cents

  6. 3.83 in Syracuse NY..

    why? "because we Like you"

    M.O.U.S.E.

  7. I stopped caring about prices after I went over to "borrowing" gas from other cars.

  8. If I do conversion of gallons to litres and convert Australian dollars to American, gas is well over 5 bucks in my town.

  9. 4.01 in North Eastern Nevada I shop at Smiths to get the discounts.

They will push the limit till they make enough people mad, When they were getting to close to five a gallon people got upset and in an election year that is not good. So they had to do something and drop it back down . Think they realize to let it go so far is like giving a lynch mob a map to your location . I think we are being programed anyhow people look and go oh 4.01 a gallon the is cheap , it is not cheap people in Chavez's country pay 84 cents a gallon .

  10. The average here is about $3.59 as of today here in "good ole" Houston, Texas. In fact, two competing gas stations not too far from where I live were having a "price war" to see who could go the lowest, which was $2.08 before it finally went back up the next morning.

(Just thought I'd rub it in to ya...LOL)

As for the fluctation in oil prices, it's more than just supply & demand at play.  Oil producers one day claim that there is a "surplus" of stocks only to say otherwise the very next day.  Plus, one possible reasons why gas prices aren't going down nearly as quickly as the price of oil is because individual station owners are purportedly trying to "recoup their losses" from the steep rise in gas prices from a few months ago.

  11. Payed 4.34 for mid grade in Steamboat Springs yesterday, (Colorado).

  12. $3.75 two days ago, now up to $3.98 at the same station.  Southeast Michigan.  Because they can, and DO.

I refuse to get upset about it anymore.  When I do, I go after the government as well, and don't get me started there. lol
