  1. The stupid all star rules applies to every driver EXCEPT Kyle Busch. NASCAR would let him get away with murder. I'm going to be ticked off if he wins the all star race or the burnout competition. Sick and tired of that little twirp. This season is already getting boring with the same little twirp winning races and poles. Other drivers deserves a chance to win.

Thanks to Ron Hornaday for wrecking Kyle in the truck race last night. I'm now Hornaday's newest fan!!

  2. i heard humpy wheeler say the other day that nascar relaxes the rules regarding contact tonight. furthermore, in the past, drivers who have done things like jump the start were allowed a second shot at it, rather than immediately being sent to the back of the line - at least two times i've seen this on shows this week.

and finally, they can change any of the rules they want, even during the race.  in 2001, when the race was started in the rain and a bunch of competitors crashed in turn one right after the start, nascar (and the sponsor of the race) allowed them to pull out backup cars, and if they could get them ready in time, they could run them.  and jeff gordon did, and won.

they can even change the format of the race midstream if they so desire.  they can decide (and may already have decided) tonight to invert the field during the break and not tell the drivers until then, to keep them from sandbagging to hopefully come out better after an invert.  many people have mentioned that possibility during this week's coverage.

  3. There are no differences.  Nascar uses all the same templates and rules.  They are probably a little tighter because they know teams will more likely push the envelope since it is not a points race.
