How are the lows on 2 Alpine type R 12 inch ??? Do u feel it in ur chest ?? are should i get 1 type x???

I heard type x is good only if you have a dvd quality sound system. otherwise you hear pops and pings from regular cds. type rs are GREAT subs. they require a lot of power though. Alpine sounds are made more for ACCURATE bass instead of just being LOUD and BOOMING. but you will definately feel it all in your chest if set right

Well I personally do not own those subs, but given the two choices I'd go with the 2 12 inches over the one type x. Yeah the type x is higher RMS and more powerful, but it'd only be one of them. Not only would the 2 type r's RMS's add up to more than the X, but more cone surface area= bigger sound. So IMO I'd go with the 2 type r's. Apparently they are VERY loud. You won't be disappointed.

definately go with the Type Rs. i had two of them in a sealed box connected to my hifonics brutus 2607, now i upgraded to two type x's and for the money i would rather have had 3 type Rs.  The type r's pound really hard especially after you break them in.

2 Type Rs over 1 type X any day
