When they say Obama 47%McCAIN 43% Where do they get these numbers.I have never been asked how im voting.This is a serius question so please No shots at either canditate...

  1. A sample of 3,000 people are asked over the course of three days how they will vote in the presidential election. These figures represent what proportion of that sample will vote for each candidate (so in this example 1,410 would vote for Obama, 1,290 would vote for McCain). However, most polls usually show that around 300 people in any sample are undecided.
