  1. well, all of those are band instruments, playing in concert bands and orchestras. they also all need air blown through them to make sound.

  2. you have to blow air in them and move valves to make sound

  3. first of all they are not all "wind" instruments. a clarinet and a saxophone are wind intruments, and trumpets and trombones are in the brass family.

  4. They're all wind instruments... That's about all I got.

EDIT: Wind instruments include brass when speaking in an orchestra or anywhere for that matter. However in a concert band "wind" generally refers to clarinets, saxophones, flutes, and everything except the brass instruments.

  5. they are all wind instruments... they all make noise.... they all can be used in both concert band and marching band.... they all are NOT all woodwind....

  6. They are like a dollar bill, they can be blown.

  7. they are all musical instruments.

  8. There all hand held  you have to blow into them and make great music together

  9. HI....  I see all kinds of different answers.  Here is another different one.   The woodwinds (clarinet and saxophone) use a hard rubber mouthpieces with  bamboo reeds attached by a ligature.   The brasswinds (trumpet and trombone) both use  metal cup shaped mouthpieces.  All are popular in jazz music.   All are members of a full piece band.  The trumpet, clarinet and trombone are used in orchestral settings...  not saxophone.  Trumpet and trombone are held horizontally when played.  Clarinet and saxophone are mostly held in the vertical position.   Trumpets and trombones have some forms of valves and slides.  Not so of clarinets or saxophones.   And all have the letter E in them.   Hope that helps.  :))

  10. They're wind instruments.

  11. They're all instruments...

  12. theyre all band instruments, y stupid?

  13. All are wind instruments.  They are common in jazz music.  those four seem more poplular than the rest of the orchestra.  Famous trumpet players:  Louis Armstrong, dizzie gillespie, miles davis.  Famous clarinet players:  Benny Goodman, Michael Collins, Artie Shaw.  Famous saxophone players:  Charlie Bird Parker, John Coltrane, James Moody.  Famous trombone players:  Glenn Miller, Arthur Pryor, Christian Lindberg.  Does anyone really know anything else about the other instruments.

  14. They are all non-percussive musical instruments, all common in today's orchestral music and all present in middle and high school ensembles.

BTW, guys- for those of you who don't know, there is a difference between WIND instruments and WOODWIND instruments.

  15. They all use air and make noise.
