The US is widely considered to have the strongest overall university system in the world. Many of the country's universities are amongst the world's elite. But there are also thousands of them, some quite good, some less so, because in the US, unlike in some foreign countries, there are universities for students at almost all levels - from fabulous students to not-so-fabulous.

Overall, their unis are quite good. From there, you have to look at each university specifically.

I agree with crazy20y... above.  Overall, universities in the US are good.  But they are expensive, and they are becoming even more so.  They are no better than Canadian universities, however, and the latter may provide greater value.

i'm not really sure what you mean.  you get out of university of what you put into it.  there is a college to fit every personality.  small, large, liberal, conservative, ect.  The university I go to is small.  I have had 2 professors who did not know my name int he two years i've been here.  and those two were lecture classes (150 + students).  If you choose a larger university, more of your classes will be large lectures, but these universities are the more famous ones.  If you need more info or this does not make since, email/im me.  :)  good luck.
