I'm a junior and just got my scores from the june 7 test.

chemistry - 770

math II - 740

are these scores good especially the math one? I know it has a large curve so I don't know if a 740 is as good on that scale.

  1. Not really, I've seen a LOT of people get 800 on the Math Level 2. 740 would be something like 75 percentile.

Chem would probably be something like 90 percentile.

Those are still GREAT scores. The reason the percentiles for the Subject Tests are so low is that only experienced and interested people give their selected subjects, usually only if they're great at it! So think of it like this: You're in the top 25% of all the people who actually KNOW math, and the top 10% of those who really know chemistry.

    :)

  2. chem is d**n good! math II is good too, but if you have time i'd try again for above 750. it's not a big deal though...

  3. Very good scores! Yeah, the Math II test is a bit curved, but that doesn't take anything away from your performance (Math II top 10 percentile; Chemistry, top 5 percentile).

    Great job!
