  1. My understanding of them is they are virtually the same as conventional SUVs only way better fuel economy. It's hard to imagine a full size SUV getting the same gas mileage as a Toyota Camry!

  2. hardly good at all

  3. Lets see they combine a smaller conbustion engine with an electric motor thus it is called a "HYBRID". It may not get the same gas milage of a Camry but compared to other SUVs it is better.

People need to get off the whole hatred of SUVs they do serve a purpose for a lot of people.

  4. The Escape Hybrid gets about 34 mpg city, which is twice what I get with my RAV4 or in the regular Escape. The co2 emissions are correspondingly lower than the regular compact suvs, and it is possible that with a decent battery upgrade in the future that in town mileage could be significantly improved. The Highlander sucks, it costs a good amount and saves very little.

Cutting emissions by half and still having an suv that you can haul 5 people in with a huge amount of gear....

    That is making a difference.

  5. Don't worry about how it is.  Just do your part of helping our economy and evironment and buy one.

  6. that is the point of suvs dont talk about the gas who really want to sit in a car ? it fells like your on your ***  suv they take more gas cuz you have a big engine in a small car why not just get a small suv like i have a 99 s10 blazer it takes about 40-50 dollars a week its better than a explore
