  2. The philosophy of education is the study of the purpose, process, nature and ideals of education.

    I suppose depending on which paradigm you relate to....it would shape your teaching style as well as how you respond to situations within the scope of your everyday activities.

    For example, if you are a structural functionalist...you might be most concerned with classroom consensus and focus less on the students needs as individuals.

    If you are a symbolic interactionalist, you may focus on how your students behave in social interactions based on ascribed meanings associated with the situation at hand.

    If you are a conflict theorist, you may constantly place focus on power struggles and inequalities that exist in society thus skewing the "unbiased" view of events that you were attempting to relay to your students.
