How are these two racial matters any different?

some people think that a white couple adopting a black baby is wrong because of "cultural differences"

but how is it any different than a mixed kid who is raised by their white parent?

im mixed...so i act more white than black...ive seen plenty of born blacks raised by blacks who dont act gangsta.

to me the "cultural difference" is made up. we are all american...most of us eat the same food, shop at the same places, listen to the same music.

i dont know much about my own history other than im blackfoot, irish, and african...but that does not define ME.

so why do people treat these issues differently? people say its okay for mixed to be raised by a white, but then i see many make a big deal out of a black being raised by a white.

why is that?

  1. " i act more white than black... "

That's your problem, you need to stop acting

and just be human, if you had 2 children one

white one black, who would you treat better?

    get the point? . . .

Your not doing either race a favor, and even

more yourself an injustice, you were born

a whole human being so your half white

and half black, what if you were have

german and  half italian, would you treat

one nationality better than the other? . . .

  2. i watched the episode of different strokes the other day when the boys first come to live with the white man and this came up on the show.. I don't see any difference in black or white..as long as a good family is raising a child to be the best person he or she can be i don't see a black way or a white way.I am a single white mom..raising my mixed child.it's kinda like saying "you can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl" some people tend to think that a white family wouldn't raise a black child to know about his or her culture and background .. kinda like a black person would be too "hood" for a white family but that is a learned behavior not something you are born with.i think its ridiculous because a good family is a good family no matter what color your skin is.

  3. Because most people have never experienced the situation,so they don't know. They just talk 5h1t!
