Lately, I've been having trouble with mice in my house.......We just got new neighbors last summer and that's when we started to get them. I live in apartments and there's a small small field in the back yard. Could our neighbors have given us mice?????? How are they getting in my house???? (They're creepy as helllll!!!)

  1. Most likely the field because thats where the babies are born. Those are the conditions mice like your way of ridding your self is calling an exterminator 1800 exterminator or mouse trap everything.

  2. Mice can get in through a hole less than a half inch in diameter, so they can get in almost anywhere. It is unlikely that your neighbours gave you mice. If you find the holes, plug them with steel wool. Mice can chew through anything else, such as wool, plastic, plaster, etc., and they will get back in.

There are some options to get rid of them which include:

    1) Cat - just the smell of a cat causes mice to stay away.

    2) Ultrasonic devices - these are readily available, not audible to harmful to humans but can rid a floor of a house of mice in a matter of days.

    3) Mouse traps. Use bacon or peanut butter - you will get them everytime.

Avoid poison if you have pets or children. The other problem with poison is that mice will from time to time die in the walls, and for several days, the smell is quite powerful near that portion of wall.

  3. ur nibhrs r so good that they may have left the mice on ur door..or if ur window is open...they may come in

  4. There's this device that you plug into  outlets in your wall which crackle in a manner that is very uncomfortable to mice although very low volumed to humans. It seems to work for me.  And just so you know, rats can crawl under doors with a tiny crack.  its amazingly creepy.

  5. Get cats!!

ps.. if not SCREAM and run away!!

  6. do you live in an apt or house (confused)no your neighbours did not give you mice.Check the weatherstripping on the bottom of the doors, check the outside of the house/apt ground floor for any loose caulking from pipes or wires entering the home if these are loose or missing the mice can gain entry and reseal the holes check around the drier vent that it is well sealed.Snap traps work the best gets them right away,I don't have much faith in the ultra sonics test have proven the damage the inner ears of rodents so they could do the same to people with long enough exposure

  7. Don't leave food out.  Wash your dishes.  Don't leave messy areas where they can hide.  And remember to always wipe after going number 2.

  8. They can get in very easily. Any whole would do and they reproduce easily. Be sure you get rid of them soon if not they will eat their way through everything and anything.

Did you  know they can enter through a closed door? They get in under it!!!

  9. I get mice too. They getting in throgh small holes and cracks. Get some rat postion and they will die.

  10. They'll come in, in the winter time to stay warm.  If you (or your neighbor) has food, or some means of feeding them, they'll stay.  Get a lot of traps and good luck.  Tell your neighbors to stop being so trashy and clean up!

  11. Can't answer how they get there, but maybe I can help getting rid of them. I would not use poison, but they have these new plastic mouse traps. They are called the "Reinvented mouse trap." I got them for an older lady that has mice and she had trouble with the old wood and metal wire traps. With the new traps she has no more mice problems. You could always go to the local shelter and get a cat. A grown cat will be a better mouser than a young one. Ask the people at the shelter for the best mouser. Good Luck getting rid of the nasty little critters.

  12. Snap, nothing sets me off more than hearing that mouse in my attic.

They could have chewed through walls, crawl spaces, attics, the possibilities are endless, my friend.

I can only suggest ways of taking care of the problem. Search all your cupboards and cabinets. If you find a hole in any of them, you'd better plaster that bad boy before it gets bigger. If you are allowed pets, get a male cat. Sure, you'll get enraged when it pisses on your laundry, but the smell will deter mice/rats.

If you don't have pets and are not allowed pets, Decon works great. It poisons them slowly, and they carry it back to their hidey-holes, where the others eat it, too. A quick warning though: Decon will dehydrate the animal and make it seek out water sources. If neighbors have pets with water dishes, a poisoned rodent may find itself drowning in the water. You risk poisoning any pets that way, too.

Old-school mouse traps are great, and deliver an instantaneously broken spine/neck/skull. It's pretty gross to clean up sometimes, but nothing I've tried works better than old fashioned traps.
