How are watches manufactured?

Question

We are supposed to show how a product is manufactured according to the IPO ( inputs, processes, outputs) method.

I'm really stuck and cant find anything on the net.

So, what materials are needed to manufacture waches, how are they processed and what outputs(waste) do they produce?

In regard to Luxury Watches these are very close guarded secrets. They will not tell you the full process because it's a trade secret. However they will tell you the part numbers and you can deduce how they made it.

You can look at the movement model number and find out some of the "specs" This is popular with watches with a quartz movement (battery powered) however with Automatic/Mechanical Movements these are again trade secrets.
