Well, I recently found out I was related to an friend of mine. My grandfather is his father's cousin. How are we related, ie, second cousins, third cousins...? Also, we have done "stuff" in the past, before we knew. How bad is this? By the way, his father is adopted.

  1. You aren't blood relatives but if you were I believe that would make you third cousin.  That was your grandfather's first cousin, your father's second and your third cousin.  But if his dad was adopted, he's not related by blood to anyone in your family.

  2. If his father was adopted, then you are in no way related. It's not incest, because you're not blood related. If anything you'd be second or third cousins, only related by family; not blood. Therefore it's fine you've done "stuff" (and I presume you're not just talking about baking a cake or going to the movies")  and it's not considered incest. You might wanna lay off it though, as you technically are related.

  3. Not bad, you aren't blood.

  4. Don't worry abt whether u r second cousins, third cousins, etc..--u r family. The 2 of u need 2 find other ppl 2 be interested in.
