How are you going to feel when the Olympics are gone?

I don't know about you, but it'll be tragic to see it go.....gotta wait another 4 years! It feels like this is one of the few times where everyone really comes together and gives us a feeling of unity and hope, so it's sad to say goodbye to such a phenomenon..

How will you feel when it's gone? And if you know, what else gives us that feeling of unity that we should always have?

IDK.

I guess we will feel empty for one year. Then forget about the games for two years and then the next year they will announce the 2016 host and we will be happy again. And then The London olympics and then we will feel empty for a year, then forget about the games for two years, then they will announce the 2020 host...... etc.

dont matter that much.  Football season is starting soon.  so its leaving just in time.

i will be thoroughly disappointed, but fortunately i like the winter olympics  slightly more, and also i'm Canadian so i will be traveling to Vancouver to watch them live

It's hard to say. It's supposed to promote fair and non-bias competition between nations. But, not is the feelings of bias and unfair judging. I still sit on the edge of my seat and cheer on the home team. I think we all need that. But, at the same time we are glad to see it go to return to a normal life in the evening. If we saw the olympics all the time or even once a year it would get old and routine and the athletes would hold less value in their accomplishments.

i will feel sad because day after the end school starts again for me... plus wont see alicia sacramone on tv for awhile so thats a major bummer.
