I have a compost heap,I always turn lights off when not in use,I recycle,I reuse plastic bags.

What do you do?

We all need to get our act together and help save the planet.

No,I'm not a tree-hugger but already one of the most thickest icebergs has melted unexpectedly.Ice bergs cool down the planet. It's better to be safe than sorry isn't it?

  1. i don't flush as much j/k

ha ha no i stop using my blow dryer and turn off all the lights that aren't being used

  2. I'm using an EPA site to select my next vehicle considering not only gas mileage and annual costs (I can save about $1000/year), but also carbon footprint and air pollution rating:

  3. Dude, thanks. You really made my day. I like hearing stuff like this.

I wrote an article for a local newspaper, I recycle plastic bottles, glass, and newspapers. I turn off lights like crazy. I try to save a lot of water.

I try. As much as I can. As much as my parents let me. Haha :)

  4. I think the most easy way is reduce burning the fossil fuel.

  5. burn kentucky coal.

  6. I try and not eat meat.

Considering livestock is the biggest contributor to Greenhouse gases.. and a huge consumer of water.  We could feed the world with the grain they consume... etc etc... i could go on and on!!

If only people realised the immensity it all they might turn vegie!!

  7. Bike to work!  I ride a total of 16 miles per day.

And you don't have to be a tree hugger to do it too!  I'm (now after a couple of years) in great shape.  I get a cool endorphin rush every day.  I can eat whatever.  No money on gas, no insurance payments, no car payments.  Saving bank! And the best part?

I get to work faster than people who drive the same distance and people who rely on mass transit.  Go figure!

So yeah - I'm doing my part to "save" the planet - but also getting the bonuses for myself.

Seriously - there is nothing in the world more liberating and better for the planet than ditching your car.

  8. That's great! I do a lot of those things as well! I am in the environmental club at my school, and we are trying to make both our school and community more eco-friendly. We are trying to make our school an Eco-school. (We de-lamped the school, put in more recycling boxes into the halls, etc.) You should start a club like this at your school too, and make the world GREEN!!

  9. I recycle some things, but that is only common sense. I'm not gonna stop eating meat because some people think that global warming is man made (or cow made), that's just ridiculous.  If  Al Gore says one more thing about Global Warming being man made, I'm gonna go cut down a tree with a gas powered chain saw.
