  2. I always do a lot of heavy cleaning before Ramadan and also make some small foods (like samboosa) and put them in the freezer.  I also try to stock up so I do not need to go to the store as often.

  3. I will be putting my dog into a kennel as the local Muslims do not have much decency in making a big noise with fire crackers at the end of their Ramadan Festival. i have never known a muslim to do a charitable work~~

  4. well I've reduced my food intake a fair bit so that its not such a shock to the system when it starts.

We are not gonna make a big deal foodwise - just the normal everyday types of foods will be cooked in our house. Eid is going to be the big feast.

I have booked the last two weeks off work so the first 2 are gonna be quite difficult.

  5. I'm spending more time at the mosque

  6. well to be honest I haven't made any food & stacked my fridge coz I still have to stand in me kitchen the same amount of time & make food. It doesn't help me.I feel Allah gives us more then our expectations esp  in ramadaan .

yes as 4 my Amal. I really get annoyed if my scedule is messed up by my family memebers.I like to be left alone with out disturbance while I do my Ramadaan ibadaat.I like to spend my precious time in reading Quraan most of the time & stop me self 4m talking unnessarily.

& Alhamdulillah I give my time 2 Allah & by Magrib Allah helps me to  fills my table with all his endless blessings.

  7. nothing really out of the ordinary.. cause Ramadan isnt supposed to be extravagant.. its just fasting.. so I actually shouldnt need to shop more..

besides the stores here in Saudiarabia act as if there is a food shortage about to happen and they over stock on everything.. so all i need is a quick run to the store if I need anything..

I do like to give my house a good clean over cause there are loads of friends and relatives that like to visit in the evenings.. otherwise.. I dont do anything otherwise to prepare.. well yes there is one thing.. i forgot

I do stave off coffee a week prior.. this year I started doing without a month ago.. Me and my husband made a pact to lay off caffeine.. no pepsi, cola, chocolate, or coffee 1 month prior.. this way, no caffeine withdrawal headache.. those are maddening the first day of Ramadan

  8. As Umhuda said,my prepration is maily cleaning the house to all corners, making samosas, spring rolls etc and stock in freezer..Yesterday we did a big shopping, all flour ,oil and stuff..Also I have to arrange parties for relatives and frineds..Hard time ahead with all work, fasting and baby:-/

  9. MashaAllah that's a great tip for Ramadan, sister Umhuda

I will InshaAllah do the same. As it is quite hot so it will be challenging to go to the market so often.

I have just made a schedule of  which Surahs i am going to memorise during Ramadan---InshaAllah.

InshaAllah just about 2 days pior to Ramdan i am going to clean the whole house inshaAllah.

    May Allah help us all

  10. I shall be eating lots of bacon sarnies.
