How are you priveleged?

How are you priveleged just by what you are?

For example, I'm a girl, so if I cry, I can usually sway things in my favor.

Another example, I am white, so I can go almost anywhere and race isn't an issue - whether it's conscious or subconscious.

I'm a young white male. It's pretty much the most privileged demographic on earth, second only to old white males. The only real downside is that we're expected to be very P.C., which I'm not.

Well I am middle class and have a nice home and have a meal everynight I get to shower everyday and brush my teeth and hair and I have wardrobe options... I would say that I am very priveleged compared to kids on the streets.

I think it would be better if I told you how I am NOT priveleged.

I am persian(iranian) so I'm bound to get a lot of racism on a regular basis both consciously and subconsciously btw.

i'm trying to be not dependent on anyone

I'm priveleged because i'm white, i'm female and I come from Chelsea (a rich part of London) with high-flying parents and a respected family.

I would love to know how being white makes me privileged. When did I miss out on that?Since as long as I remember my family hasn't even been lower middle class, and we have been on welfare for as long (my father is disabled so shush), as far as I understand it there is no privilege in that. All being white has got me is the hate of black people for things that I had nothing to do with. I would love to be black, for one thing I would look d**n good. For another I could use being black as an excuse for things; like getting fired for not scrubbing enough pans (when there is video camera proof that I had been). As well, I would not be getting pushed and called a white b**ch by black people I don't know in the street. As far as I'm concerned,  it's still racism people- if you hate me because of my race i.e being white it's RACISM plain and simple.

And hunny, crying will only get you things for so long, after a certain age you can't cry to get what you want (because guys stop being that gullible, they get more complicated at one point) and also you shouldn't cry wolf like that because eventually it won't work and it might be when you really mean it. Don't get me wrong, I can get whatever I want; I'm beautiful as well as fit, but I don't use it. I take what is given and believe me it's plenty.

im privileged because i live in a country where men and women's rights are equal. i can go to any college i want, and have any job i want regardless of my s*x.
