With Manny on the Dodger team I believe the Dodgers will not only take the NL West division but also go after the World Series this is just what the Dodgers needed a great batter to the already great team =)

Well, they most likely traded either Matt Kemp or Andre Ethier, so they're not gonna have all 3 of them. I say they go from an 80-win team to an 85-win team and still aren't a serious contender.

He makes them better, but that clubhouse is going to be an absolute nightmare (hopefully Torre will be able to keep Manny and Jeff Kent from killing each other). I think they take the West, the addition of his bat puts them over, but they're still flawed. I think they get bounced in the first round of the playoffs. A better team, but still not realistically in the hunt for a championship. Honestly, if they weren't in the West I don't believe it even gives them enough to compete serioulsy for the win in either of the other divisions.

I love andre eithier, so even tho Kemp is a better player, I hope that he went to the pirates.  However, the difference between an 80 game winner and an 85 game winner is enough to win the NL West by 10 games, and ruin Jim Rome's dream of seeing a sub-.500 team winning a division!  The dodgers also did not have to give up a major leaguer according to the SI article, they gave up 3rd string 3rd baseman Andy LaRoche (Technically a major leaguer I guess), and Brandon Morris (Pitcher)!!!

Manny Ramirez's stormy relationship with the Boston Red Sox appears to be over.

A baseball source has confirmed Ramirez has been traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers, ESPN.com has learned.

Jason Bay is going to Boston as part of the deal, SI.com reported. And the Pirates get four minor leaguers as part of the three-way deal.
