As slim thing said you can die of anemia, if someone has a bad anemia he may need blood transfusions every week. I have a mild anemia, so it's not dangerous and I don't have to worry, I just need to follow a correct diet and take iron pills (mine is an iron deficiency anemia), I passed out once, it can happen if you don't take care of it.
