How bad do tattoos hurt and whats areas hurt less?

Question

I plan on getting a tattoo of my last name on the front side of my hip. Any one know how mad it hurts on the hip? And what other areas would hurt less?

Hi,my name is Jelina.I have 2 tatoo's one is on my right ancle it stung a little but,didnt hurt all that bad it was worth it.And on my right upper arm I have my daughters name and a butterfly it didnt hurt at all.I was told your back and the front of your legs hurt the worst.Mine didnt hurt.Dont let anyone scare you tatoo's only hurt if its on the places I said.You pick something you want and it will be worth every penny!! I promise.

I think Jelina is right on the money... I have 15 tats and none of them hurt...and I'm not fat...some areas may be more sensitive  than others ,but for me personally they were all a great experience.I have them on my shoulders , low back ,calf,and my left leg is sleeved from ankle to above the knee.Go for it ,just make sure that you REALLY want it and think seriously about placement.

ive onli got one on my shoulder n it hurts but not to bad exept for my actual shoulder blade that hurt hurt

It hurts worse on any bone! Any part like the spine or collar bone hurts more because there is less cushioning ;) I have one on each shoulder and they didnt hurt too bad!!! Be careful they are very addicting and expensive to remove lol GOOD LUCK!!!

I have a tattoo thats pretty big on my hip, and it hurt but it was tollerable. Anyways, I dont really think your last name is a good idea, you might get tired of it quickly.

depends on your pain tolerance...

I have two tattoos and it tends to hurt more on bone then it does on fatty or fleshy parts of the body... that's just my experience though, I am sure it varies from person to person...

ok ...I agree with Rea but...it really depends on how skinny you are.. if your bonny its gonna hurt like h**l..but if not well then go for it..now where it hurts less is where you have lots of meat..stay away from..ribs,knees because thats where it hurts the most.

Tattoos hurt...it's a bunch of needles going in and out of your skin. Your hip will probably be a pretty painful spot to get it, thats pure bone. I wouldn't recommend it there.

every part of your body is sensitive but the most sensitive places are on your ankle and on your wrist and on neck hip but .

but i think don't get a tattoo at all because you will regret it
